Refund & Return Policy
At Stofeco, every product we manufacture is custom-made to your exact approved specifications. Because of the bespoke nature of our manufacturing process, our refund and return policy is structured accordingly. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.
1. Custom Manufacturing — Important Notice
All products manufactured by Stofeco are made-to-order based on client-approved designs, specifications, measurements and samples. Because no two orders are identical and each product is built specifically for each client, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for orders that have been produced in accordance with approved specifications.
This is standard practice in the custom manufacturing industry and is consistent with US consumer protection law for bespoke goods.
2. When You Are Eligible for a Refund or Replacement
You may be eligible for a refund, replacement or partial credit only in the following situations:
- The delivered product contains a clear manufacturing defect not present in the approved sample
- The product delivered is significantly different from the approved design or specification
- The wrong product or quantity was shipped
- The product arrived with damage caused during production (not shipping damage)
3. How to Submit a Claim
If you believe your order qualifies under the conditions above, you must:
- Contact us at info@stofeco.com within 5 business days of confirmed delivery
- Include your order number and a clear written description of the issue
- Attach clear photographs or video evidence showing the defect or discrepancy
- We will review your claim and respond within 3 to 5 business days
Claims submitted after 5 business days of delivery confirmation will not be accepted.
4. What We Do Not Accept Returns or Refunds For
We will not issue returns, refunds or replacements for the following:
- Products that match the approved sample or specifications exactly
- Minor natural variations in leather texture, grain, color tone or surface finish — these are inherent characteristics of genuine leather and handcrafted goods
- Orders where the client provided incorrect measurements, specifications or design files
- Products damaged after delivery due to misuse, improper storage or handling
- Dissatisfaction with design choices that were client-approved before production
- Delays in delivery caused by shipping carriers or customs authorities
- Change of mind after production has commenced
5. Sampling Before Bulk Production
To protect both parties, we strongly recommend approving a physical or digital sample before bulk production. This is the most effective way to ensure the final product meets your exact expectations. Bulk production will not begin without written sample approval from the client.
6. Resolution Options
For approved claims, Stofeco will offer one of the following resolutions at our discretion:
- Replacement production of the affected units
- Partial refund proportional to the defective portion of the order
- Store credit toward a future order
Full refunds are considered only in cases of complete production failure where no acceptable resolution can be provided.
7. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 14 business days of claim approval
- Refunds are issued via the original payment method — Stripe, PayPal or bank transfer
- Original transaction fees charged by Stripe or PayPal are non-refundable
- International bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the client
8. Shipping Damage Claims
If a product is damaged during shipping, this is the responsibility of the shipping carrier. We recommend clients:
- Inspect all deliveries immediately upon receipt
- Document any damage with photos before opening the package fully
- File a claim directly with the shipping carrier using the provided tracking information
- Notify us at info@stofeco.com so we can assist where possible
